Segway-Ninebot Dirt eBike

There are two models of the Segway Dirt eBike - the X160 and the X260. Except for size, power, and price, they're essentially the same bike. The image below shows the Segway-Ninebot X160 on the left, and the X260 on the right:

Segway Dirt eBike features

The Segway electric dirt bike offers two riding modes: EP Mode for slower riding, and Sport Mode for more aggressive riding. The 48-volt lithium-ion battery takes 3-4 hours to charge, the batteries are easy to swap, and takes less time than refueling a gas bike. Even though it's a battery-powered dirt bike, the bikes have a regular twist throttle. The handlebars, brake levers, seat height, and hydraulic spring suspension are all adjustable to suit a variety of riders, and the bike's controller has an IP67 grade waterproof rating, with an IP65 rating for the battery, so it can be ridden in the rain.

Segway electric dirt bike assembly

The bikes come mostly assembled. You'll need to attach the handlebars, brake lever, and footpegs. All parts and tools for assembling the bike are included, and the instructions are clear and easy to understand.

Segway-Ninebot Dirt eBike app

The Segway bikes are adult electric dirt bikes and are not recommended for kids under 14 years of age, but speeds can be limited to a certain extent through the Segway-Ninebot Bluetooth App interface. The app also allows you to track your route and riding stats.

Segway X160 specs

The Segway X160 can hit speeds up to 31 mph in about four seconds, which isn't nearly as fast as a snarly two-stroke, but isn't bad for an electric dirt bike. You'll get up to 40 miles on a fully charged battery depending how hard you ride the bike. The X160 has 17" wheels, a max seat height of 29.9 inches, and a respectable 8.7 inches of ground clearance. The bike weighs 106 pounds with the battery installed, and 88 pounds without the battery. The X160 doesn't have a headlight, and the tailight is only a reflector on the rear fender. The X160 measures 71.7 × 29.1 × 40.2 inches.

Segway-Ninebot X260 specs

The Segway X260 can hit speeds up to 47 mph, and has a 77 mile range on a fully charged battery depending how hard you're pushing the bike. The X260 has 19" wheels, a max seat height of 31.9 inches, and 10.6 inches of ground clearance. The X260 weighs 121 pounds with the battery installed, and 97 pounds without the battery. The X260 comes with a headlight, but no tailight - only a reflector on the rear fender similar to the X160. The headlight is always on if the bike is running - there's no switch to turn it on or off. The X260 measures 74.2 × 30.7 × 41.3 inches.

Segway Dirt eBike videos

Here are a couple of Segway electric dirt bike videos. The first video is a Segway promotional vid, which seems to be the only X260 videos they've uploaded. The second video is actually a Sur-Ron electric dirt bike, but the bikes are similar enough that you'll get a general idea.
